In Short
If you get a sweet tooth, there’s an place in Hamburg that you should remember: Brammibal’s Donuts. The completely vegan donut store has long since made a name for itself – especially with constantly changing specials that are only available for a short time. We feasted our way through the selection at the branch on Neuer Kamp and can already say: if you love donuts, you’ll be happy here.
Stylish, Modern and Perfect for a Sweet Snack
Brammibal’s has several locations in Hamburg and Berlin – and all follow a stylish, modern look. The design? Pink, sleek and cozy, but designed more for a quick visit. Of course, donuts are not a three-course meal, but rather a sweet snack for in-between meals. But if you like, you can also make yourself comfortable with a hot drink. And there are plenty of them here: Matcha latte, cappuccino or unusual specials such as a rose latte – perfect for rounding off your donut enjoyment.
What’s on the Menu at Brammibal’s Donuts?
- 100% vegan donuts in different varieties
- Monthly changing counter with new creations
- Cake donuts – baked from cake batter, fluffy and delicious
- Specials: seasonal or one-off donuts, often only available for one day
- Letter donuts – perfect for sweet messages
- Merchandise: socks, donut boxes, drinking bottles and more
If you want to make sure that your favorite donut is not sold out, you can pre-order it – particularly practical if a special donut is only available for a short time.

Our Sweet February Visit
We were there in February and tested a few varieties:
- Mole cake (€4.80)
- Red Velvet (€4.80)
- Choc Sprinkles (€3.80)
- White Choc & Strawberries (€3.80)
- Pistachio Dream (€4.80)
- Pistachio Bun (€4.80)
Our absolute favorites? Definitely Pistachio Dream and Mole Cake! The Pistachio Dream was super creamy, nutty and not too sweet, while the Mole Cake scored points with its fluffy batter and deliciously chocolatey filling with banana. But the other varieties didn’t disappoint us either – each donut had its own special flavor.
Some varieties are sweeter than others, for example the White Choc & Strawberry did not convince us 100%. Also, the special drink, the Rose Latte, wasn’t quite our cup of tea either.
What we particularly like: despite their size, the donuts don’t feel too big or sugary. You don’t leave the store with an over-sugared feeling, but have simply enjoyed a really good sweet snack. And the best thing? Although everything is vegan, it tastes just like the original – if not better! In our opinion, the taste of many vegan sweets is not quite on a par with the classic versions, but Brammibal’s shows how it’s done.
Conclusion: Definitely try it!
Whether you’re vegan or not, you should definitely pay Brammibal’s a visit. The donuts are creative, delicious and always surprising. Keep an eye out on Instagram for new specials, try a cake donut or order letter donuts for a sweet message to your loved ones. We’ll definitely be back!
