Flak Tower IV, better known as the Hamburg Bunker, has had an eventful past. Originally built as a shelter during the Second World War, it has been transformed into an urban hotspot in recent years. Thanks to elaborate greenery and a publicly accessible roof garden, the once gray concrete block is now one of Hamburg’s most exciting locations. Constant Grind fits perfectly into this concept: modern, inviting and a place to unwind in the middle of the city.
Getting there is easy, you can either take the elevator or walk up the so-called mountain path. Once at the top, a mix of urban flair and a relaxed café feeling awaits. The absolute highlight? The swings right by the window, where you can gently rock back and forth while the city lies below you.
The Offer: Solid, but Nothing Special
There is a small but fine selection of snacks and drinks here:

- Coffee specialties (unfortunately only from the machine)

Taste Experience with Room for Improvement
As promising as the atmosphere is, the culinary offering remains rather average. The sandwiches are solid, but not outstanding. The cakes and sweet snacks do what they should, but there are no real highlights. And the coffee? Well. There is room for improvement here, as the automatic machine does make a decent cup, but without that certain something extra. For coffee lovers who like lovingly prepared espresso with latte art, this could be disappointing.
Nevertheless, with a slice of cake and a soda in your hand while sitting on the swing and overlooking the city, everything somehow feels just right.
