In Short
With the FC St. Pauli stadium on the right and the striking Feldstraße bunker in view, the Heiligengeistfeld becomes a huge playground for all flea market fans, treasure hunters, and bargain hunters once a year. On September 20, 2025, it will be time once again to rummage, haggle, and find treasures — right in the heart of Hamburg.
XXL Flea Market Feeling
Strolling across the grounds, it almost feels a bit like a festival — only without the music, but with lots of treasures to be found. It’s no coincidence that the flea market at Heiligengeistfeld is one of the largest in Germany. Hundreds of stalls are lined up side by side, some lovingly decorated, others wonderfully chaotic—and that’s exactly what makes it so charming.
You’ll find everything here: vintage clothes, retro electronics, records, furniture with history, stacks of books, curious odds and ends, but also new goods – and yes, sometimes real rarities. Whether you just want to browse or are on the hunt for a new favorite piece, there’s something for everyone here.

Browse Sustainably or Sell Your Own Items
If you don’t just want to buy, but also want to get rid of stuff, you can of course register a stall yourself. It’s a great opportunity to have a good clear-out and give your old stuff a new lease of life. This is not only good for the environment, but also for your bank account. The flea market values a colorful mix: private sellers, second-hand fans, and professionals stand side by side here—or rather, stall by stall.
Don’t Forget to Eat
After hours of browsing, is your stomach rumbling? No problem—the culinary offerings are at least as diverse as the range of goods on offer. In the street food area, you can eat your way around the world: from crispy pizza to Asian dumplings, African specialties, and hearty burgers, there’s something for everyone. Perfect for a quick break on the way to your next bargain.
Practical Tips for Your Visit to the Flea Market
- It pays to arrive early: if you’re looking for real rarities, it’s best to be there right at 11 a.m. That’s when the selection is still at its best.
- Don’t forget cash: although some stalls now have card readers, cash is king at a classic flea market.
- Bring a backpack instead of a handbag: This way, you’ll have your hands free to browse — and space for spontaneous purchases.
- Want to rent a stall? Be quick! Spaces are in high demand. You can find registration information online from the organizer in good time.
- Travel by public transport: Parking spaces are scarce and the flea market is very centrally located — take the U3 to Feldstraße and you’re right there.
So, mark your calendars for next year and join the fun: the flea market at Heiligengeistfeld is not only a shopping experience, but a genuine piece of Hamburg.
