In Short
In the flood of new ramen stores springing up everywhere, Yume stands out with its authenticity and taste. The restaurant, rather inconspicuous from the outside, turns out to be an absolute must for all ramen lovers. Yume Ramen in Hamburg is currently our absolute favorite ramen restaurant, and for good reason!
A Small Place with a Big Heart
The first thing you notice about Yume is how quickly the store fills up. Despite the rather basic decor, with a large photo wall adorning the room, the place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The warm service deserves special praise, led by a man whose hospitality makes the visit unforgettable. His friendliness is genuine and not just for good reviews. This personal element makes every visit special.
Taste that Convinces
Of course, anyone who visits Yume comes first and foremost for the ramen. And they are a dream!
The miso ramen with chicken, nori, naruto fishcake, carrots, egg and spinach for €14.90 is absolutely fantastic. The ingredients are perfectly balanced, nothing too much, nothing too little. The miso broth is also full of flavor, but not too overpowering. The taste of the Paitan ramen for €16.90 is even more intense. This soup, cooked extra long, offers a depth of flavor that you won’t soon forget. In both ramen dishes, the chicken is served with a delicious sauce, which adds a little more variety to the taste of the whole dish.
As a starter, we had crispy gyoza with chicken for €6.50. These come with a soy sauce that is a little more intense than a normal sauce and therefore perfectly complements the gyoza – we love it!
To drink, we had a raspberry lemonade (€3.90) and a jasmine tea (€4.50). Both great too! There are different flavors of lemonade here and the teas are of good quality.

Small Gestures that Inspire
After the main course, we were surprised with a scoop of matcha ice cream for free – creamy, just the right amount of matcha and a refreshing way to finish. Even more impressive was the invitation to a coffee and another jasmine tea on the house, further proof of the exceptional hospitality at Yume.
The only small downside to our visit was the noticeable breeze at our table. Although this didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the food, it was a little annoying and would have made our visit even better.
Try it out!
Yume is a very special restaurant for the delicious Japanese specialty – ramen. The combination of authentic flavors and warm service makes Yume one of our absolute favorite places for ramen in Hamburg. Anyone looking for genuine, unadulterated ramen will find it here and be happy.
