A Touch of Great Britain in Altona
As soon as you enter the café, you are greeted by a friendly atmosphere and detailed furnishings. King Charles greets you at the entrance, albeit only as a cardboard cut-out, and small British flags fly everywhere. The lovingly decorated ambience transports us straight to an English cottage.

The service in the Eaton Place is incredibly warm and attentive. The team makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. A special tip: make sure you book in advance, as this small café is very popular. It is particularly busy at tea time.
A Paradise for Tea Lovers
An absolute highlight of the Eaton Place Tearoom is the huge selection of over 30 different types of tea. There really is something to suit every taste here. In addition to exclusive afternoon tea varieties such as cream tea and high tea, there are also delicious scones, clotted cream and original cakes from Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
The British Tea Ceremony
You have the choice between two different afternoon tea ceremonies:
- Prince of Wales: €43 per person, including an etagere with various delicacies and unlimited tea (our choice)
- Queen Elisabeth: €54 per person, which also includes the etagere and unlimited tea, plus an aperitif and a digestif
Reservations are required for both ceremonies.

Taste Explosion the British way
The scones are a real highlight. Whether classic with clotted cream and jam or in one of the creative variations, they taste simply fantastic. The pancakes are also excellent, quite sweet but super fluffy. The cake display case offers a tempting selection of delicious cakes, making it hard to choose.
Events & Gifts
Eaton Place regularly offers exciting events and courses, such as a Good Manners course. You can also buy vouchers, a great gift idea for any tea lover. There is also an Eaton Place store a few streets away, where you can buy everything from teapots to flags and mugs.

Eaton Place Tearoom is a wonderful place that you shouldn’t miss. We liked it so much that we will definitely be back. The excellent service, the fantastic selection of teas and the delicious food completely won us over. Whether for a cozy afternoon tea or a hearty breakfast, Eaton Place Tearoom is always worth a visit.
