In Short
Today we’re taking you to the chic and cozy HERITAGE Rooftop Bar in Hamburg. Not only first-class drinks await you here, but also a breathtaking view over the Außenalster that you won’t soon forget.
Unique Ambience
The HERITAGE Rooftop Bar in Hamburg is a real insider tip and open to everyone. An elevator takes you comfortably to the top, where an unbeatable view of the Außenalster awaits you. Especially when the weather is nice, you can watch pedal boats, SUPs, sailing boats and other watercraft on the water.
The bar has a small outdoor area and a two-storey indoor area. The entire interior exudes elegance without losing any of its coziness. You immediately feel at ease and can leave the stresses of everyday life behind you. Of course, the elegant ambience has its price. The drinks are not cheap, but we think every penny is worth it. Whether it’s the breathtaking view, the stylish atmosphere or the exquisite drinks – everything just comes together here.
The service is attentive and friendly, even if a smile here and there wouldn’t go amiss. We have visited the bar several times now and it has never been overcrowded. However, it can get a little crowded at the weekend, so we recommend visiting during the week.

Our Selection this Evening
We visited the HERITAGE Rooftop Bar on a Monday, where the Highball menu is available. The Highball menu is always available on Sundays and Mondays and it means that the drinks are a little simpler but also cheaper. Here’s what we ordered:
- Basil Highball (Gin, Basil Cordial, Soda) 10 €
- Paloma Highball (tequila, lime, grapefruit) 10 €
- Aperol Highball (Aperol, Sparkling Wine, Soda) 10 €
- Pinsa mozzarella and tomato (basil, tomato jam, olive oil, pine nuts) € 21
- Burrata with tomato, vegetables, cress and seeds
HERITAGE Rooftop Bar in Hamburg
The cocktails in general at the HERITAGE Rooftop Bar are really something special. Especially if you don’t come on Sundays or Mondays, you have a huge selection. Our favorites are definitely the Gin Basil Smash and the Young Fella, a non-alcoholic drink that is super refreshing.
Our highball-cocktails on Monday were also great, very well balanced and refreshing. We also enjoyed the food! The pinsa was really crispy. Only the tomato jam was a little too sweet for our taste. The burrata, on the other hand, blew us away – so creamy and perfectly complemented by the grilled vegetables.
The menu changes frequently here, so you may not find these dishes/drinks in the same way, but I’m sure there will be new treats.
