In Short
Hidden within the creative chaos of Hamburg’s Gängeviertel is a place you’ll probably miss the first time around — and somehow, that makes it even more special. Tucked between graffiti-covered walls, small courtyards, and countless little details is Tee Deeler, a shared space run by InfiniTea Leaves and Tee Addicts. Once you find it, you immediately feel at home. We joined an InfiniTea Leaves tea tasting and are here to tell you why it’s absolutely worth a visit.
More Than Just a Tea Shop
Tee Deeler is far more than just a shop for high-quality tea. Tea culture is truly lived and celebrated here. You notice it immediately in the relaxed atmosphere and the incredibly friendly team, who are happy to answer questions and take their time with every guest. Whether you’ve been passionate about tea for years or usually prefer coffee, you’ll feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
Tea Tastings with Knowledge and Atmosphere
In addition to the monthly “CommuniTea” gatherings, where people simply come together to enjoy tea and relax, InfiniTea Leaves also offers themed educational tastings focused on topics such as Japan, South Korea, or matcha. The tastings take place in small groups and are thoughtfully curated.
We recently joined the South Korea Beginner Tasting, where we sampled a variety of Korean teas. The experience went far beyond just tasting — it also explored how harvesting methods, processing techniques, and preparation styles differ. We especially enjoyed the comparisons between Korean, Japanese, and Chinese tea cultures. You learn an incredible amount, yet it never feels dry or overly academic.

Interesting Even if you’re not a Tea Nerd
What makes these tea tastings so special is the combination of knowledge and a relaxed atmosphere. You get to try new things, discover completely different flavor profiles, and naturally broaden your horizons along the way. Even for coffee lovers, it’s an experience we’d absolutely recommend. The South Korea Master Tasting is already on our to-do list.
