In Short
You’re sitting comfortably at a beautifully laid table, the lights slowly dim, and suddenly… your table comes to life. Colors dance, brushstrokes appear, and there she is — the Mona Lisa, suddenly speaking directly to you. Sounds like a dream or a crazy art film? Nope — it’s 7 Paintings in Hamburg, the immersive dinner show at the Novotel Hamburg City Alster.
Art Meets Cuisine – on your Plate and Directly Beneath it
What makes 7 Paintings in Hamburg so special is the combination of show, art history, interaction, and a delicious menu. For 2.5 hours, you will be transported into a world where great masterpieces are not just hanging on the wall — they come to life on your table. Thanks to sophisticated projection technology, your dining table is transformed into a canvas on which the works of Michelangelo, Banksy, Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, Dalí, and van Gogh are creatively staged. And best of all, each course of your menu is inspired by the respective artist or art style.

For Families, Couples, Groups — Everyone Becomes Part of the Show
Although an artistic dinner event might initially bring to mind a date or a special evening among friends, 7 Paintings also works great with children. Several families were there during our visit, and the kids clearly had a lot of fun — especially with the puzzles and the painting activity.
