In Short
The next time you’re looking for a good Italian meal near a sports center, Casa Mosa in Stellingen could be just the thing. Run by Mario Mosa, a well-known name on the soccer scene, this restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine without all the frills.
Next to the Sports Center – Soccer Meets Pasta
Located right next to the Sportwerk in Eimsbüttel (Stellingen), Casa Mosa attracts both sports enthusiasts and local residents. It is a pleasant place to stop by and have a bite to eat after a game or training session. But Casa Mosa also invites you to enjoy a cozy dinner without all the exercising.
There is a special wall in the restaurant on which family memories and pictures of celebrity visits to the restaurant hang. Because Mario Mosa, the owner, is well-known in the soccer scene, he is occasionally visited in his restaurant by famous footballers.

The atmosphere at the family-run Casa Mosa is pleasant, with furnishings that are beautiful but don’t push any new design boundaries. A special feature is that there is no fixed menu. Instead, the chef writes whatever is freshly available on a blackboard. A nice idea, even if this sometimes means that the choice can be somewhat limited. However, this way you know that only fresh food is on the plate and that’s something we enjoyed.
To drink, we had an Aperol Spirtz and a Lillet Wild Berry, both of which were well mixed and tasted as you would expect.
What we Tried
Our visit to Casa Mosa brought some of the typical dishes to the table:
- Truffle pasta with and without beef: the pasta, prepared at the table in a parmesan wheel, was a clear highlight (22.50 € – 24.50 €)
- Crème brûlée, tartufo ice cream and tiramisu: classic Italian options for dessert
How did we Like it?
The truffle pasta is freshly prepared in front of you in a Parmesan wheel. The portion may look small at first glance, but this is deceptive – the cheese on the pasta makes it quite filling. There are also plenty of truffle pieces. The pasta can be enjoyed vegetarian or with beef. The meat comes to the table separately and is served with a light tomato sauce on the pasta. You can taste the emphasis placed on the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
The desserts were all very tasty, I was particularly impressed by the crème brûlée. Everything was beautifully presented and decorated with fresh fruit. The tiramisu was also very delicious and tasted homemade, only the tartufo ice cream was not really our cup of tea.
Verdict
All in all, Casa Mosa is a good Italian restaurant that scores points for its location next to the sports center and its connection to the soccer scene. The idea of not having a fixed menu is interesting and invites you to try it out. Especially if you are a fan of the famous truffle pasta, Casa Mosa is a good place to go!
By the way: you can also get very good truffle pasta in a Parmesan wheel at Edmondo in the city center!
