Today we’re taking you to a little paradise for cheesecake fans: Cheesecake Heaven in Gertigstraße in Winterhude. If you’re looking for a cozy place to unwind and enjoy some really good cheesecake, this is the place for you.
What Does the Café have to Offer?
Cheesecake Heaven can be found several times in Hamburg. We visited the branch in Gertigstraße, which has recently been given a fresh coat of paint and now shines in new splendor. The café is small but nice, and the lovely furnishings make you feel right at home. The interior design is rather dark, which gives the whole place a cozy, almost intimate atmosphere. The outdoor seating is an absolute highlight, perfect for sunny days to watch the hustle and bustle of Winterhude.
What’s on the menu?
Cheesecake Heaven is all about – you guessed it – cheesecake! The sweet sins are available in many varieties, and best of all: there are even vegan options. The cake slices are available in two different sizes:
- Mini cheesecakes for €4.10
- Large pieces of cheesecake for around €4.80-5.50
The flavors are varied and leave nothing to be desired: from Original, Raspberry, Lotus, Cookies & Cream, White Chocolate & Blueberry, Passion Fruit, Apple Crumble and more, there really is something for everyone!

Of course, we couldn’t resist and tasted our way through the cheesecake landscape:

What is immediately noticeable is that the cheesecakes not only look incredibly tempting, they also taste great! Every bite is a creamy delight that literally melts in your mouth. The base is particularly noteworthy – thin, but sturdy enough to perfectly complement the creamy filling without being overpowering.

Taste Experience and More
The different varieties really won us over. The mini cheesecake with Nutella is a real taste explosion for all chocolate fans. The Lotus Cheesecake surprises with a pleasant caramel note, and the White Chocolate & Blueberry Cheesecake offers a wonderful combination of sweet and fruity.
The cheesecakes were a little too sweet for me, but Adrian thought they were just right. For cheesecake lovers, Cheesecake Heaven is definitely a dream come true.
Can we Recommend Cheesecake Heaven?
This small store in Winterhude is definitely worth a visit. Whether inside in a cozy atmosphere or outside under the sunshade – it’s a wonderful place to relax and feast. The friendly service and the option of ordering all cheesecakes to go round off the experience perfectly.
