So you enter the Rewe supermarket and follow the “Seoul Chicken” signs. You soon find yourself in the middle of the supermarket at a charming store that offers a good selection of different Korean fried chicken. What’s special about this place? Directly above the small store is a large area to sit and enjoy. You can watch people shopping from above – a really interesting and unconventional place to enjoy your meal.
Creative Variety of Chicken Variations
During our visit, we had the choice between different types of chicken:
- Lemon Cream
- Sweet Chili
- Soy Garlic
- Sweet Chili (vegetarian, with cauliflower)
You can order the chicken in four different sizes:
- S (€6.50)
- M (€8.50)
- L (€13.50)
- XL (€18.50)
Incidentally, a small cabbage salad is included with all sizes except the smallest. In addition to the main dishes, there are also various sides and a large selection of Asian drinks.

Explosion of Flavor on the Plate
We opted for the sweet chili, soy garlic and sweet chili cauliflower varieties. To our surprise, the chicken is served cold – something we had to get used to, but still delicious. The sweet chili sauce had a pleasant spiciness that wasn’t too dominant. The soy garlic chicken was tender and juicy, with a delicious hint of garlic. The Cauliflower in Sweet Chili Sauce was a little too sweet for us personally and perhaps had a little too much sauce, but we can imagine that many will love just that.
Super Service and High Quality
Not to forget: the super friendly staff who fulfill your every wish. The quality of the chicken was consistently excellent, and we felt completely at ease. One thing is certain for us: Seoul Chicken in Altona is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something new and delicious.
