Pink, playful and seriously photogenic: A Never Ending Love Story has now made its way from Berlin to Hamburg. The café is spacious, strikingly designed and feels almost made for a long brunch with a camera in hand. We had a few highlights when it came to the food, though you do need to dig a little deeper into your pocket here.
Lots of Pink and Plenty of Space
Inside the café, there is a long communal table in the middle, plus individual seats along the sides. We especially liked the seating outside, especially when the sun comes out. The entire interior is very feminine, playful and of course very Instagram-friendly.
The breakfast menu at A Never Ending Love Story in Hamburg also follows its own concept. Many dishes start with a base price and can then be customized with extras. That is practical, because you can choose what you like, but it also makes it easy to lose track of the actual final price. According to the café, a large share of the eggs used also come from its own chicken-friendly farm.

Some iced drinks come with a small surcharge for the ice. The same applies to different types of milk.
From Creamy Scrambled Eggs to a French Toast Highlight
What we particularly liked about both bread options was the texture of the scrambled eggs: beautifully creamy and soft. The combination with Parma ham and Parmesan was tasty overall, but for us it was clearly too salty. With chorizo and guacamole, the whole dish felt much more balanced and we preferred it overall.
Our clear highlight was the French Toast. The combination of blueberry compote and vanilla curd worked really well, and it was nicely soft, sweet and fruity. Even the raisins, which we normally really do not like, tasted surprisingly good here.
Freaky Fresh was also wonderfully refreshing and perfect for a sunny breakfast. We do think just under € 8for a juice is pretty high, though. The Matcha Latte did not quite win us over in terms of taste. For €6.40 plus a €0.30 surcharge for ice, we would have expected a little more.
Our Verdict on A Never Ending Love Story in Hamburg
A Never Ending Love Story is definitely a lovely brunch spot in Hamburg and visually something a little different. There is also plenty to enjoy in terms of taste, especially the French Toast, which we would order again in a heartbeat. However, it is worth taking a closer look at the prices beforehand, because with all the extras, what seems like a normal breakfast can quickly become quite an expensive affair.
