In Short
With its stylish interior, an outdoor terrace with a tree running through it and a relaxing view of the surrounding meadow through large windows, this is a place not to be missed. While it is often crowded, you can usually find a spot to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and creative dishes at Sueño.
A Place to Linger
Sueño is located on Rothenbaumchaussee and combines modern design with a touch of nature – be it through the green terrace or the light-flooded interior. The interior has been thought through down to the last detail: warm wood tones, minimalist furniture and lovingly selected plants give the café its special charm. Perfect for a relaxed coffee, a small brunch or a stylish lunch date. The service? Very friendly, even if it does seem a little stressed at peak times.

A Taste Experience with Little Surprises
The dishes impress with their fresh ingredients and appealing presentation – you really do eat with your eyes here. The Funghi Crunch was a real highlight: crispy and creamy at the same time, with an irresistible truffle aroma. The pesto pasta was a delicious homage to Italian cuisine, fresh and pleasantly light.
However, the Grilled Cheese Fire Chicken sounded more exciting on the menu than it actually was – perhaps a different version would have been more convincing here. On the other hand, the fruit tart as a sweet finish lifted my spirits again: fruity and perfect for the afternoon. The drinks? Outstanding! The matcha latte in particular was velvety and finely tuned, while the cappuccino was a delight with its creamy texture. We really have to say that the coffee was so delicious that we will be coming back again and again for that alone!
Bottom Line
Sueño is not the cheapest café in the city, but the quality and ambience make it worth a visit. A perfect place for connoisseurs, Instagram fans and anyone who wants to treat themselves to a little luxury in their everyday life. Next time we might try some more grilled cheese creations – because the menu definitely has more to offer!
A tip: arrive early to secure the best seats and enjoy the café experience to the full!
