Taste Explosions and Minor Flaws
The giant bruschetta lives up to its name – the portion is impressive, almost a little too big. Crispy bread, fresh ingredients and a great combination of savory and spicy notes make it a delicious starter. The burrata scores with its fresh, harmonious combination – creamy cheese meets sweet and sour dressing.
Although the taste of the handmade gnocchi was convincing, the portion was small and the sauce dominated a little too much. For the price, we would have liked a little more substance here. The fillet of beef, on the other hand, was a hit – medium roasted, tender and wonderfully complemented by the intense flavors of the side dishes.
To finish, the chocolate soufflé delighted us with its intense, chocolatey center, while the tiramisu was a classically solid finale.
Our Conclusion: An Experience to Remember
The Anleger 1870 is not just a restaurant, but an experience that enchants winter evenings in Hamburg. The combination of spectacular ambience and fine cuisine is definitely something special. Anyone planning a cozy evening should secure a seat in the glass houses. Don’t forget to reserve your table in advance – it is quite popular!
