Are you still looking for a warm, cozy café with delicious food? Then we have found something for you. TRUCYS Café in Hamburg offers you a paradisiacal vacation feeling even in the cold season. The food is super tasty and looks damn good too! We can only highly recommend this pink café, where the sun always shines.
Pink Wonderland in Hamburg
The café where the sun always shines! That is probably true. In the small pink café just at the edge of the beautiful district of Winterhude, you get not only paradise vacation feelings, but also incredibly delicious food! During our visit, the sun was actually shining, but even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the café is a bright, inviting and super cozy place.
Pink is the main color of the café, which is hard to pass by. Everywhere, the walls have been painted pink or sweet pink accents have been added. If you want to visit TRUCYS Café, you come through the small courtyard past tables and chairs (and of course a pink wall) into the small café. Already in the outdoor area there are many plants, which give the whole place an idyllic and paradisiacal charm. If you then enter the café, you are warmly welcomed with a smile.
A Huge Selection of Goodies
We were allowed to choose a table, and have chosen and the high chairs directly by the window. With the sun shining and us and the smell of delicious food, the plants and the cozy atmosphere, we almost felt like on vacation.
The waitress brought us the pink menus, on which there are some real treats to discover. We could hardly decide. From pancakes and fruity bowls to avocado sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches, everyone can find something here. Most of the dishes are even vegan. So is, for example, the Pancake Heaven, which we opted for.

Our Choice
On this sunny day, we tasted:
- Pancake Heaven – vegan chocolate chip pancakes with banana, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, homemade GREATnola and maple syrup (12,90 €)
- Cinnamon bun with pistachio (4,90 €)
- Cheesecake (4,90 €)
- Earl Grey tea (3,90 €)
Some dishes are offered as an alternative, with seasonal variations. Thus, our pancakes were also available in the winter edition, for example, with stewed apples and caramelized apples. The food was served rather quickly. Our cinnamon bun and cheesecake came out of the large display case, which you can see right as you walk in. We had a particularly hard time with the cake selection. I mean, can you really resist a juicy banana cake or lemon cake?
Cake and Cinnamon Bun Appetizer
So, we first tried the cinnamon bun and the cheesecake. To make it clear: Both super delicious! The cheesecake was nicely creamy, and the base was not too dry. Also, the fruity decoration was a great addition. Adrian especially liked the cinnamon bun. For him, the pistachio stood out and has harmonized greatly with the dough and the cinnamon. I also liked it, unfortunately I personally missed the pistachio a little bit in the glaze. But that’s not bad at all – of course everyone has their own taste.

A True Pancake Heaven
Then came the highlight: the pancakes! How delicious do they look, please? We almost could not stop taking pictures and videos of them. Also, they convinced us 100% in terms of taste. The pancakes were so fluffy and moist. There was neither too much nor too little chocolate in them, and the banana in the batter sweetened the whole thing in a healthy way. The homemade granola to go with it was really great too. We would come back anytime for the pancakes alone! So an absolute recommendation on our part.
Our Verdict
In general, we can only warmly recommend the beautiful café. For us, everything was just right: the atmosphere, the delicious food and the warm staff. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come again!
